In 2008, Jacques and Barbara founded Joracan, a company dedicated to providing individuals, businesses, and institutions with composting solutions tailored to their needs. The couple's shared passion for the environment led to the creation of robust and efficient composters, entirely designed and manufactured in Quebec. Thanks to continuous improvements over the years, the composters boast exceptional durability, offering over 20 years of performance.

A few years later, three young entrepreneurs, driven by the same environmental and social values, decided to take over the company under the name Novaterra. As an agent of change, Novaterra aims to promote composting as a shared value, offering the necessary support to facilitate the transition to responsible organic waste management.
