In 2011, Jacques and Barbara founded Joracan, a company whose goal is to provide citizens, businesses and institutions with compost solutions adapted to their needs. The couple's shared passion for the environment led to the creation of robust and efficient composters, entirely designed and manufactured in Quebec. Thanks to constant improvements in recent years, the composters have an exceptional durability of more than 20 years of performance.

A few years later, three young entrepreneurs, driven by the same environmental and social values, decided to take over the company under the name Novaterra. Building on this heritage, Novaterra is now positioned as a leader in the field of composters by offering high-quality equipment that transforms organic matter into quality compost in just 4 weeks. As an agent of change, Novaterra wants to promote composting as a collective value, by offering the necessary support to facilitate the transition to responsible management of organic matter.
